New Jersey Crash Leaves 2 Dead

School transportation crashes continue to be rare and interested parties are at work trying to improve student experience nationally.

Still, today we’ve lost another student.

Three buses were traveling to a field trip from East Brook Middle School in Paramus, New Jersey, when one of the buses collided with a dump truck. There were 38 5th grade students on the bus and 7 adults; more than 40 were injured, along with the two deaths.

The images are chilling.

I’ll be adding a comparison of this crash to my repository over the coming weeks/months. It’s currently under investigation by the New Jersey State Police and the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office. The NTSB is reportedly “gathering information” about the crash.

My heart goes out to the families for certain.
